Huge congratulations to the three riders who have been selected to represent the UK in the 2016 BMW Motorrad GS Trophy International Final - James Berrill, Gordon Blackley and Oliver Twigg.

Almost 250 fantastic competitors took part in the weekend-long event in South Wales, hosted by Simon Pavey and his BMW Off Road Skills team. A special 'celeb' team also took part with adventurer Charley Boorman, MTV Australia presenter Kate Peck and producer Billy Ward entering and getting stuck into the event.

With a huge variety of challenges set in and around the Brecon Beacons, riders were put to the test in every way imaginable. Tasks created by Simon Pavey and his team included fitness challenges, mechanical abilities, working as a team and, of course, some off-road riding on GS motorcycles.

Fifty riders made it through to the final on Monday - with the riders graciously inviting Charley Boorman (who finished slightly outside the top 50) to join them for the increasingly difficult tasks and events on the Bank Holiday.

Fifty  finalists were cut down to just ten after being whittled down with some surprise challenges including motorcycle jousting, trials riding and, in one case, teams of three having to lift and carry an R 1200 GS over a wall of tyres.

But of course only three could win - and the top riders James, Gordon and Oliver were presented with their prizes, given their 'champagne moment' and can now look forward to the challenge ahead representing their nation in the GS Trophy International Final in 2016.
